Seminars and exhibition will take place Tuesday, March 25 through Saturday, March 29 , 2014 at the Raleigh Convention Center. The event features specific workshops and topics related to healthcare, technology, retail, and service industries. The event also includes an exhibition space featuring businesses from around North Carolina and surrounding areas. The exhibition space is free and open to the public Tuesday – Saturday. The historical ‘State of her Business Symposium’ starts at 9am on Friday, March 28, 2014, with the ‘State of Her Business’ Address delivered by S. Briles Johnson, Director of the Women’s Business Center of North Carolina.

There is plenty of support for women business professionals through the vast number of networking groups; however, the resounding cry for help with growing and sustaining women-owned businesses is loud and clear. Raleigh is one of the fastest growing cities for entrepreneurs, yet there is a lack of sustainable business growth, proper planning, access to capital and business education among women owned businesses.

This event features local and global entrepreneurs, investors and experts. In addition, it also includes a pitch contest, expert panel, breakout sessions and an exhibition featuring women-owned businesses and sponsors who support women in business.
